Casual Classes

Flexible gymnastics and ninja when attending every week is not practical

Casual classes are a flexible option for families who cannot commit to the same class every week.

They can be particularly suitable for:

  • FIFO families
  • Children living across shared-care arrangements
  • Families with changing work or school schedules
  • Children who would like to attend when their availability allows
  • Adding a student to come with your child for one day

Casual attendance is managed using a punch pass. Each punch allows you to book one child into one available class on a specific day.

Available Programs

Casual attendance is available in the following programs:

  • Little Sprouts (Toddler Gym)
  • Gym Kidz
  • Ninja Kidz
  • Senior Gym
  • Senior Ninja

Please note that invite-only, assessment-based and advanced classes are not available for casual attendance. These classes require ongoing enrolment and coach approval.

How to Book a Casual Class

Before making a casual booking:

  1. Check that the class does not have a waitlist and has a casual place available.
  2. Purchase a punch pass through the Parent Portal.
  3. Allocate one of your available punches to the class and date you would like to attend.

Once the punch has been allocated, a single-day booking will be created for that session.

Casual bookings must be made separately for each class your child wishes to attend. Purchasing a punch pass does not automatically reserve a place in a class.

Things to Consider

Casual classes provide greater flexibility, but they do have some limitations.

  • Places are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
  • Regularly enrolled children have an ongoing place in their class.
  • Casual attendance costs more per session than a regular enrolment.
  • Popular classes may have very limited casual availability.
  • It can be difficult to coordinate attendance with friends, as enough casual places may not be available in the same class.
  • Your child may attend different classes, coaches or groups depending on availability.

Important Information

Purchasing or using a punch pass does not exempt a family from the club’s enrolment and notice requirements.

If your child is currently enrolled in a regular class and you wish to stop attending, the standard 30 days’ written notice still applies. Moving from a regular enrolment to casual attendance does not automatically cancel an existing enrolment.

If you are unsure whether your child is enrolled in a regular class or attending casually, please contact our administration team before making any changes.

Is Casual Attendance Right for Your Family?

Casual attendance may be a good choice when your child cannot attend consistently each week and your family is comfortable booking around the places that are available.

Many FIFO families and families with shared custody arrangements find casual attendance provides the flexibility they need while still allowing their children to enjoy gymnastics and ninja classes when they are available.

Families wanting a guaranteed weekly place, a consistent coach and group, or the best value per session may be better suited to a regular enrolment.
